His subspecialty training in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery was then undertaken in Australia, USA and the UK. He was the Honorary Oculoplastic Fellow at the Sydney Eye Hospital in 1999. Fellowship training in Oculoplastic Surgery was then undertaken at the University of Michigan, USA, between December 1999 and June 2000; the University of Utah, USA, between July 2000 and June 2001; and Royal Manchester Eye Hospital, Manchester, UK, between July 2001 and July 2002. Dr Taylor is an Honorary Associate at the Sydney Eye Hospital, a consultant at the Skin & Cancer Foundation and a VMO at Westmead Hospital.

Dr Taylors areas of surgical interest involve: Eyelid Malpositions (Ectropion, Entropion, Ptosis); Facial Nerve Palsy; Periocular Skin Cancers; Orbital Disease (Orbital fractures, tumours, infections, Thyroid Eye Disease); Artificial Eye Management; Lacrimal Disease including Tear Duct Surgery, both external and endoscopic; and Eyelid Cosmetic Surgery.
